Science Fair
Delaware Science & Engineering Fair (DSEF)
Students in grades 6-12 who are interested in developing a project to present at the yearly Delaware City Schools Science & Engineering Fair are invited to participate in our weekly after-school workshops.
Our weekly Science Fair after-school workshops start in the early Fall and continue until our district science & engineering fair judging event occurs in mid-February.
At these workshops, students receive instruction, guidance, and support for their project work in a "blended" environment, i.e. both online and face-to-face.
We use our school district learning management system, Canvas, as our "virtual classroom." This online resource houses everything that students and parents need to know about science fair at DCS. We frequently also use the website sciencebuddies.org as a go-to resource.

Students who score high in judging at our local science day are invited to continue at higher levels of competition. We also encourage students to leverage their high-quality science projects to enter other science competitions such as the Ohio Junior Science & Humanities Symposium at BGSU, and Google Science Fair.
