Students must attend tryouts for the following athletic programs: Cheerleading, Golf, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball/Softball. If students are not able to attend the mandatory tryout date and times, the Athletic Department at Dempsey needs to be notified two weeks in advance. This notification does not guarantee the right to tryout for the specific athletic program.

Participation in these activities is a privilege and not a right, and students may be prohibited from all or part of their participation in such activities by authorized school personnel without further notice, hearing and/or appeal rights in accordance with Board Policy 5610.05.
